Motorcyclist killed in crash in Bloomfield, Connecticut: police

A preliminary investigation revealed that the man lost control of the motorcycle and veered off the road and onto a grassy area, police said.

BLOOMFIELD, Connecticut – A man died when his motorcycle went out of control and off the road in Bloomfield Saturday night.

At about 2:15 a.m., police were called to the corner of Blue Hills Ave. and East Dudley Town Road for an accident. A 911 caller reported seeing a motorcycle on the lawn of a business at the intersection, police said.

Arriving officers found a man lying on his back next to the motorcycle, suffering from severe injuries. The 41-year-old died at the scene of the accident, police said.

A preliminary investigation revealed that the man lost control of the motorcycle and veered off the road and onto a grassy area, police said.
