Man arrested after early morning axe attack | The Mighty 790 KFGO

GRAND FORKS, ND (KFGO) – A man is in jail after attacking another man with an axe and firing several shots while inside his apartment early Saturday morning.

Grand Forks police responded to a call about a robbery at a south-side apartment just before 4 a.m.

Officers learned that two men had gotten into an argument. 21-year-old Jayden Lloyd struck a 23-year-old man with an axe. The victim was taken to Altru with non-life-threatening injuries.

Lloyd and a woman fled to their apartment at 506 Oak Street. Lloyd fired several shots from a handgun as officers approached the building. At least two bullets pierced a wall and struck a nearby house. No one was injured in the shooting.

The Grand Forks SWAT team was called and was able to arrest Lloyd without incident. He is currently being held at the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
