Man arrested after shooting dog in Navasota business parking lot

NAVASOTA, Texas (KBTX) – Navasota Police have arrested a man who fired multiple shots in the parking lot of a business on Highway 6 Saturday morning.

The man, whose identity was not disclosed in a news release, was arrested by police shortly after 7 a.m. in the parking lot of Annie’s on Highway 6 at 105.

Navasota police are investigating the scene and interviewing witnesses. Officers have since found a dead dog in the parking lot. The man arrested is charged with deadly conduct, disturbing the peace and cruelty to animals.
