Woman killed in shooting in northwest Indy

INDIANAPOLIS – IMPD is investigating after officers found a woman killed in a shooting in northwest Indy on Saturday.

Shortly before 7:30 a.m., officers responded to a report that a person had been shot in the 3000 block of Armory Drive, near West 30th Street and Dr. MLK Jr. Street.

When emergency responders arrived, they found a woman who had been shot and pronounced dead at the scene.

IMPD has arrested one person who may be of interest in connection with the shooting and does not believe there is an active threat to the community.
