Former WWE Superstar Gable Steveson Signs With NFL Team Buffalo Bills

Early last month, Olympic gold medalist Gable Steveson was released from his contract with WWE. After signing with the company in 2021, WWE placed a high emphasis on the amateur wrestler, with big appearances on RAW and WrestleMania during his tenure. In the background, he was training in the ring and later made his in-ring debut in NXT in 2023, which went disastrously.

His release did not come as a shock to WWE members, according to reports, with his developments and improvement in the ring not having been as rapid as hoped. Following his release from WWE, it was revealed that several NFL teams had contacted Steveson and offered him tryouts.

Steveson’s agent, Carter Chow, revealed to ESPN that his client has officially signed with the Buffalo Bills on a three-year rookie contract. Not only is Steveson simply looking to compete at an elite level in another sporting field, but he is also looking to become one of the only men in sports history to win both Olympic gold and a ring of the Super Bowl.
