Authorities in Ocean County are investigating a serious incident that occurred Saturday morning when a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Toms River.AdvertisementThe collision occurred in the westbound lanes of NJ-37 near Coolidge Avenue.

When the police arrived at the scene, they found a pedestrian with serious injuries. The injured person was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.

The full extent of her injuries has not yet been disclosed.
