1 dead after shooting in northwest Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS – Police are investigating after a person was shot in the northwest part of the city.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Skylar Lane around 7:17 a.m. for a report of a person being shot. When they arrived, they found a person with gunshot wounds inside the apartment.

The victim was reportedly dead at the scene of the accident.
