Man shot multiple times in nighttime incident on Jacoby Street in Maplewood

Maplewood Police are currently investigating a brutal shooting that left a man injured in the community overnight.

According to preliminary information provided to RLS Media, police were called to the 80 block of Jacoby Street around midnight after gunshots were reported.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with numerous gunshot wounds.

The victim was immediately taken to University Hospital in Newark for medical treatment.

Authorities have not yet provided further information on the severity of his injuries.

So far, no one has been arrested in connection with the shooting and the investigation is still ongoing.

Maplewood Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.
