Person hit and killed on Interstate 25 after wild animal crossing

State police are investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash on Interstate 25 in Socorro. According to New Mexico State Police, a deer crossed the interstate near mile marker 161, causing a vehicle to spin out of control and roll over into the median. The police investigation began around 5:30 a.m. Friday, May 31.
