Accident in Carol Stream, West Chicago: DuPage County Coroner responds to motorcycle-car collision on North Avenue, St. Charles Road

DUPAGE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) – The coroner has been alerted to a car accident with at least one fatality on Friday evening in the western suburbs.

The accident occurred near North Avenue and St. Charles Road near Carol Stream and West Chicago in DuPage County, authorities said.

Witness photos provided to ABC7 showed that at least one motorcycle and one car appeared to have been involved in an accident at that location.

The DuPage County coroner confirmed he was called to the scene of the accident but did not release a death toll.

The DuPage County Sheriff’s Office posted on Facebook at around 9:12 p.m.: “Please avoid North Avenue at St. Charles in West Chicago. North Avenue is closed due to a two-vehicle accident. The accident is currently under investigation.”
