Four BWI employees suspended after alleged fight at Spirit Airlines ticket counter

BALTIMORE – Four BWI Marshall Airport employees have been suspended following a brawl at the Spirit Airlines ticket counter earlier this week.

Spirit Airlines confirmed that the operator had suspended the four until the investigation was completed.

The fight was captured on video by TMZ.

Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) police said officers were called to the Spirit Airlines ticket counter around 4:15 a.m. on May 28 for a report of a fight. Five people were involved in the fight, one of whom sustained minor injuries, the MDTA said.

“We are aware of an altercation that occurred on May 28 in Baltimore (BWI),” Spirit Airlines said in a statement. “Our supplier has suspended four of its employees involved pending an investigation into the matter. We do not tolerate violence of any kind and will take appropriate action once the supplier’s investigation is complete.”

Officials did not disclose what led to the altercation.
