Police: Man injured in shooting in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — A man suffered life-threatening injuries after being shot on West Cummings Avenue in Hampton late Friday night, police said.

Hampton police responded to the scene of a shooting in the 100 block of West Cummings Avenue, off East Mercury Boulevard in the Phoebus neighborhood.

This is the second shooting reported in Hampton on Friday. The other occurred around 2:51 p.m. in the 1400 block of Old Buckroe Road, where a 26-year-old Norfolk man suffered life-threatening injuries.
