Former NBA player Drew Gordon, brother of Denver Nuggets’ Aaron Gordon, killed in crash in Clackamas County

Former NBA player Drew Gordon, brother of Denver Nuggets star Aaron Gordon, was killed in a car crash in Clackamas County on Thursday afternoon, the Clackamas County Sheriff said.

Authorities said Gordon was involved in a two-vehicle crash involving a Vanderhall Carmel three-wheeler autocycle and a GMC Sierra pickup truck in an incorporated area in Clackamas County. Gordon, 33, was the driver of the Vanderhall and died at the scene.

The driver of the Sierra, Rodrigo Navarro Quintor of Oregon City, and a passenger were taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s preliminary investigation indicates that Gordon’s Vanderhall crossed the center line and collided with the truck. The report also says impairment does not appear to be a factor.

Gordon played nine games for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014–15 season. He also played in the G League and played in Serbia, Sardinia, Turkey, France, Lithuania, Poland, Ukraine and three teams in Russia.
