Rape: Man allegedly rapes colleague’s wife and injures his young son | News from Bhopal

Bhopal: A man allegedly entered his colleague’s house in Bag Sewania on Thursday afternoon and raped his 25-year-old wife in front of their two minor children. During the scuffle with the woman, the accused forcibly pushed her 2.5-year-old son away. The toddler’s head hit the wall and was injured. The accused locked the woman and her children in the room and fled. When her husband returned home at night, he opened the door which was locked from outside. She narrated the experience to him and reported the incident to the Bag Sewania police. In the early hours of Friday, the police registered a rape case against the accused and began investigation. The accused and his friends were arrested by the Katara Hills police on charges of sexual abuse in the past. He is currently out on bail. Police said that the survivor is a housewife while her husband works in the sales department of an insecticide manufacturer. The company’s headquarters are in the Bag Sewania area. Since the woman’s husband had recently vacated his rented accommodation, the employer allowed him to stay in a room on the terrace of the office in Bag Sewania. The accused, Shivang Tripathi (24), hails from Etavah in Uttar Pradesh and lives in Rameshwaram Colony in Bag Sewania here. He works in the sales department of the company along with the survivor’s husband. Police said that around 2.30 pm on Thursday, the woman was resting in the room with her two children when Shivang approached the room and pushed the door open violently. The door flew open and he stormed into the room. He attacked the woman and raped her. He pushed her son away, following which the son hit his head on the wall and was injured. Before the woman could understand anything, the accused fled the scene after locking the room from outside. When the woman’s husband returned home around 10 pm, she narrated her ordeal to him and the incident was reported to the Bag Sewania police.
