Anaré Holmes, Atlanta firefighter, in RuPaul’s Drag Race

ATLANTA — An Atlanta firefighter will make an appearance on Friday night’s RuPaul Drag Race episode.

The city of Atlanta is hosting a watch party for firefighter Anaré Holmes starting at 7 p.m. at the Atlanta Eagle.

Firefighter Holmes is one of the LGBTQ+ liaisons for the Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department. Liaisons provide training within the fire service on gender identity, expression and more in support of LGBTQIA employees and communities.

According to a press release, Holmes will attend the viewing party to discuss her experience on the hit television series.

RuPaul’s Drag Race is a reality television show in which a group of drag queens compete to impress host RuPaul, a well-known drag queen in the LBGTQ community who also got her start in Atlanta.

Drag queens who impress the host win a cash prize and the title of “America’s Next Drag Superstar.”
