Eastman foster parents arrested for child abuse

In addition to the child abuse charges, the GBI said he was also charged with two counts of sexual abuse by a foster mother. He was arrested on Friday.

EASTMAN, Ga. – An Eastman foster parent has been arrested on child abuse charges, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

Elvis Davis, 57, was arrested and booked into the Dodge County Jail on one count of sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of child molestation and two counts of inappropriate sexual contact by a foster parent, according to the GBI.

According to jail records, Davis was arrested on Friday.

As early as May 16, Eastman Police asked the GBI for assistance in the investigation.

However, they say the investigation into Davis is ongoing. Once the investigation is complete, the Dodge County District Attorney’s Office in the Oconee Judicial Circuit will take over prosecution.
