Double murder in Rockport under investigation | Regional news

ROCKPORT – The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and the Rockport Police Department are investigating a suspected double homicide of a man and woman that occurred on the evening of Tuesday, May 28, 2024, in the City of Rockport, Hot Spring County.

Shortly before 5:30 p.m., Rockport Police received a call about a possible homicide at a residence at 2655 Sand Road. When officers arrived, Shelby Montgomery, 53, and Alana Holmes, 31, were found dead in Montgomery’s mobile home.

The bodies were taken to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory for autopsies, where the investigation is ongoing.

Sand Road is located on the east side of Rockport, southwest of the US 270 bypass.
