Fatal crash closes I-91 south in Enfield

ENFIELD, CT (WFSB) – A portion of southbound Interstate 91 is closed Tuesday night in Enfield due to a fatal crash, according to officials.

State Police confirmed to Eyewitness News that one person died in the crash.

The Connecticut Department of Transportation said the southbound side was closed between exits 46 and 45.

A Channel 3 photojournalist captured video of an overturned vehicle in the woods.

The victim has not been identified. According to police, no other injuries were reported.

The accident was reported around 5:30 p.m
