Police: Bedford man attacked another defendant who sent explicit photos to a child | WTAJ

BEDFORD, Pa. (WTAJ) – A report of explicit photos being sent to a young girl led to the arrest of a man who is accused of taking matters into his own hands.

Brandon Jacob Clark, 28, was arrested after Bedford police were notified of an assault victim at UPMC around 12:45 a.m. on March 24. Upon arrival, the victim said the man who attacked him and stole his backpack was in the adjacent waiting room, the charges state.

Based on a description from the victim, police found Clark in the waiting room with injuries to his hand. Clark claimed he had been arguing with his girlfriend and injured his hand on a door, according to the charges.

In the criminal complaint, police noted that they were aware of an ongoing investigation after Clark’s girlfriend’s 10-year-old daughter reported a few days earlier that the victim in the case had sent her sexually explicit photos.

Shoe prints from Clark’s boots resembled the footprints on the victim’s clothing, the complaint states. Police said they also spoke with Clark’s girlfriend, who claimed she was unaware of him hitting a door and that they did not fight that night.

It was noted that the responding officer went to the scene and along the way found the victim’s backpack on the side of the road – a route Clark may have taken to his home after the alleged attack.
