French police foil terrorist attack before the Olympic Games in Paris

French police have arrested an 18-year-old man on suspicion of planning an Islamist-motivated terrorist attack on the Geoffroy Guichard Stadium. The attack was to have taken place during a football match as part of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

According to GB News, the suspect had already conducted reconnaissance.

The suspect is a Chechen citizen, according to a press release from the French Interior Ministry.
