Albany man arrested for weapons possession and drug offenses

BETHLEHEM, NY (NEWS10) — Bethlehem police have announced the arrest of an Albany man in connection with a domestic incident. Christopher Waters, 34, is charged with several charges.

According to police, Waters was allegedly involved in a domestic dispute at a home in Selkirk on March 23. Waters allegedly fled the scene before police arrived, but police found his car a short time later at an apartment complex in Glenmont.


Waters was then taken into custody. Officers found a handgun and cocaine near him, and further investigation determined that both the gun and the drugs belonged to Waters, leading to his arrest on May 22. He now faces the following charges:

  • Third degree criminal possession of a weapon
  • Criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree
  • Manipulation of physical evidence
  • Criminal possession of a firearm

Waters was arraigned in Bethlehem Municipal Court and subsequently transported to the Albany County Correctional Facility. He is scheduled to appear in court again on June 4.
