Atlanta Market Set to Combine Celebration and Education Over 5 Days of Events

Atlanta Market has set the programming schedule for its next edition July 16-22, combining celebration and education over five days of events.

“Atlanta Market’s programming is the nexus of innovation and connection this summer,” said Karen Olson, executive vice president and chief marketing officer of Andmore. “From educational seminars to expo nights, education and experiential networking come together to inspire the industry. »

Discussions on trends and activities in the market

Five seminars will give attendees insight into the industry across all categories as they reignite summer shopping.

Two opening sessions will bring celebrities to the stage to discuss design and business. In a talk titled “Carson Kressley Introduces Fashion Trends in Outdoor Living,” the famed designer, television personality and former “Queer Eye” fashion expert will give Atlanta Market attendees a rundown of ‘advance on everything related to the exterior from 1 p.m. on July 17. On July 18 at 1 p.m., Jill Zarin and Ally Shapiro, the mother-daughter duo behind gift brand Jill & Ally, will lead “Collaborations, Partnerships and Licensing” to explore the importance of partnerships to create new opportunities. Both sessions will be presented in the atrium of Building 3, Floor 2.

Three business-focused discussions will equip participants with the skills needed to stay competitive in the retail landscape. Steph Bechard and Crystal Media will kick off the series with “The Top 5 Strategies for Using Social Media to Move Your Merchandise” to discuss digital marketing strategy at 2:30 p.m. on July 17. “Leading Ladies: Insights from Women in Business” follow, featuring an all-female entrepreneur panel, featuring Adriana Carrig of Little Words Project and Atlanta Market (A) Listers, Jasmine Crockett and Jordan Jones at 2:30 p.m. on July 18. Last in the race is “Showhouse Panel: Sourcing Showrooms.” and Showhouses,” which will address the symbiotic relationship between showrooms, designers and vendors at 2:30 p.m. on July 19. All three seminars will be offered in the seminar space in Building 1, Floor 14.

The market serves gastronomic education

Three days of immersive cooking demonstrations will offer instructions on how to prepare three “quintessential summer dishes,” according to a release from Atlanta Market. Anne Byrn’s “Baking in the American South” will feature classic Southern delights on July 16; the “Ela Demonstration” will offer Mediterranean dishes and creative cocktails on July 17; and Agatha Achindu will prepare her Everyday Coconut Jollof Rice and Kale Salad in the “Agatha Achindu Demo + Book Signing” for “Generous Cooking: Healthy Daily Meals to Nourish You and Your family” on July 18. All three sessions will take place at 2 p.m. : 30h in the JURA demonstration kitchen, building 2, floor 8.

Celebrations reinforce education

Industry festivals, ground parties and everyday amenities will complete the market experience over four days of celebrations, bringing refreshments, light snacks and community to the summer event.
Shoppers can enjoy a morning pick-me-up with Caroline Russell, Andmore Design Services Manager, at Cappuccinos with Caroline from 9 a.m. July 17-19. Andmore Director of Buyer Services Logan Avidon will also host a breakfast for new buyers at 9 a.m. July 17-18.

Parties and concerts offered throughout the AmericasMart campus will enhance the market celebrations. The annual Andmore Market Launch Party will feature free drinks and light snacks to celebrate the summer market and temporary opening day at 6 p.m. on July 17. Daily Afternoon Beats will feature live music by DJ Ree de la Vega starting at 3:30 p.m. on July 18. -20.

Outdoor Living Offers Additional Programming

Atlanta Market will offer buyers additional cross-category sourcing and educational opportunities at Casual Market Atlanta, July 15-18, at AmericasMart Atlanta. The concurrent shopping event “offers synergistic discovery,” according to a release, with more than 170 complementary casual furniture and outdoor accessories resources.

Two events, presented by the International Casual Furnishings Association (ICFA), will provide additional opportunities for both event participants. First, Trends in Outdoor Living Tour + Lunch will provide insight into consumer shopping trends on July 16 at noon, and from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. on July 18, Cocktails + Casual will offer light snacks and drinks in casual showrooms in Building 1, floors. 2-6.
