Former Columbus daycare worker arrested after allegations of child abuse

COLUMBUS, Georgia (WRBL) – A woman who worked at a Columbus daycare center was arrested Thursday and charged with three counts of simple assault.

According to Columbus police, 61-year-old Pamela Marie Cook was taken into custody following allegations of abuse at Childcare Network.

Officers investigated three incidents in which the victims were under 11 months old. According to police, “the investigation resulted in criminal charges in two of the three cases.”

Cook was identified by the CPD as a suspect in these incidents. Cook resigned from her job before the investigation was completed.
