Monroe woman nearly loses part of her foot in bizarre e-bike accident

A Walton County woman nearly lost part of her foot in a bizarre accident while riding an e-bike, her friends shared on a GoFundMe campaign to help with medical costs.

Kenley Lord, who lives in Monroe, was riding an e-bike when she fell and got her foot caught in the bottom bar of the bike.

According to her best friend Ashlyn Alsup, the bar completely cut Lord’s heel, causing a fracture and bone loss.

She had to be put under anesthesia for the procedure.

When Lord woke up, she had received 31 stitches.

Alsup said Lord will be unable to work and drive for the next two to three months.

“God put it on my heart to start a GoFundMe campaign for her as she is a major financial contributor to their household,” Alsup wrote. “The last thing she needs to worry about as she navigates this next chapter of her life is financial stress.”
