3 dead, 2 injured in apparent murder and suicide attempt in Elkridge

According to Howard County police, the incident at a home in Elkridge appears to be a murder and attempted suicide. Three people are dead and two injured.

Around 10 p.m., officers were called to the 6900 block of Norwood Ferry after neighbors heard gunshots. Inside the home, police found three women dead, two men with serious injuries and an uninjured child, according to a Howard County police news release.

The two men, one of whom is believed to be the suspect, were taken to nearby hospitals with life-threatening injuries, the press release said.
