Man killed in nighttime shooting in Avondale

CINCINNATI – According to Cincinnati police, a man was killed in a shooting Thursday night in Avondale.

Police identified the victim as 37-year-old Demetrius Fain.

The shooting occurred around 11 p.m. in the 3300 block of Reading Road.

Police said they found Fain outside with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene, CPD said.

Reading Road was closed for several hours but has reopened.

According to CPD, no one is in custody.

Police also said they had no suspects.

It is unclear what led to the shooting.

No further injuries have been reported so far.
