Local man arrested for possession of ‘high-quality’ marijuana and THC products

WEST ORANGE – Complaints from local residents led to the arrest of a local man on marijuana charges this week, authorities said.

On Wednesday around 10:00 a.m., officers from the West Orange Police Department, along with investigators from the City of Orange Police Department, conducted a search of a home in the 2200 block of Bonnie Street in West Orange.

According to West Orange police, approximately 5 pounds of high-quality marijuana were discovered, as well as THC vaporizers and a quantity of THC wax.

A male resident named David McKnight was arrested and charged with third degree marijuana possession and booked into the Orange County Jail.

A third-degree felony, if convicted, is punishable by 2 to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

The search and arrest were the result of complaints from residents and an investigation by the West Orange and Orange police drug enforcement units, authorities said.
