Nuggets player Aaron Gordon’s brother Drew Gordon dies in car accident at age 33

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Drew Gordon, the older brother of Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon, died in a car accident at the age of 33.

Gordon made his mark on the basketball industry after playing in nine games for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 2014–15 season. After his final season in New Mexico in 2012, he continued to display professional sportsmanship in other capacities in the United States and internationally.

While at UCLA, Gordon made significant contributions, starting 34 of 35 games during the 2008-2009 season, missing a single first-round game in the NCAA Tournament due to a concussion.

Despite not being a starter, he proved to be exceptional, scoring points in 26 of the 34 games, including double figures twice. His rebounding skills made him the team’s fourth-best rebounder and led them to a 56.5% field goal percentage.

After working with several different professional basketball leagues, Gordon finally announced his retirement in July 2023.
