1 dead and 1 injured in shooting in Lauderhill

LAUDERHILL, Florida. – One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in Lauderhill Thursday evening.

The shooting occurred around 9:50 p.m. in the 2000 block of Northwest 43rd Terrace, said Lt. Antonio Gonzalez, a Lauderhill police spokesman.

Both victims were taken to the hospital, Gonzalez said. One of them was pronounced dead, while the other was “stable,” he said.

Authorities have not yet publicly disclosed the identities of the victims or said whether they have identified or located any suspects.

Gonzalez said detectives from the Lauderhill Police Department are conducting the investigation.
