Salina Police Officers Respond to a Car Crash Involving a KBI Vehicle

Salina Police officers responded to a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Ninth and Crawford Streets involving a Kansas Bureau of Investigation vehicle.

According to Salina Police Sergeant Garcia, the accident occurred this afternoon, May 30, shortly before 4 p.m.

“It was not an actual SPD vehicle that belonged to the SPD,” Garcia said. “It was a vehicle belonging to another agency.”

Sergeant Garcia confirmed that one of the vehicles involved in the accident belonged to the KBI. Melissa Underwood, KBI spokesperson, said the accident occurred when a vehicle struck the KBI vehicle at the Crawford/Ninth Street light.

Underwood said there were no injuries in the accident.
