At May 6, 2024Spirit released a press release announcing the company’s financial results for the first quarter of 2024. Spirit reported a 6.2% year-over-year decrease in operating revenue, resulting in a loss of $1.46 per share. The company also reported a 16.3% decline in fare revenue per segment, a 1.4% decline in non-ticket revenue and a 0.1% decline in load factor. Following this news, Spirit’s share price fell $0.36 per share or 9.7% and closed at $3.35 per share on May 6, 2024.
