Amarillo man arrested for drug possession and trafficking

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — According to court documents filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, an Amarillo man was arrested on drug charges.

Fabian Hernandez was arrested for “possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.”


According to court documents, a search warrant was obtained on May 23 for a home in the 1900 block of South Marrs in Amarillo.

During the search of the apartment, 1.1 kilograms of suspected methamphetamine and a firearm were seized.

During the search, agents said Hernandez told them where to find the gun and admitted to possessing the meth. According to the documents, Hernandez is a convicted felon.
