Couple killed in suspected murder-suicide in Gainesville home

Two people, who investigators believe to be a married couple, were found dead in a car in Gainesville on Thursday morning. It is suspected to be a murder-suicide, officials said.

Gainesville police identified the couple as 55-year-old Rosa Ojeda Contreras and 60-year-old Zenaido Alejo. Investigators believe Alejo shot Contreras first and then himself, police said. Their bodies were found in a car on a dead-end street at the end of Deerwood Trace in the Willow Ridge development.

According to police, Alejo and Contreras lived in Gainesville and have adult children.
