Dallas man who sexually abused girls and sold child pornography sentenced to 60 years in prison

A Dallas man who admitted to sexually abusing several girls under the age of 12 and selling self-produced child pornography was sentenced to 60 years in prison on Wednesday, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas said.

Gemond Copage Miller, 33, was charged with two counts of producing child pornography, court records show. He pleaded guilty to both counts in January, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

Miller admitted to using a cellphone to film himself sexually abusing a child in April 2021. He also admitted to doing the same thing in September 2021. According to court documents, both children were under the age of 12 at the time of the assault.

According to court documents, he also admitted to “trafficking” child pornography for five years.

Miller was sentenced to 30 years in prison for each count. The sentences will be served consecutively.

Investigators identified Miller based on a distinctive tattoo, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said in a press release on Wednesday.

“At the sentencing hearing on Wednesday, prosecutors admitted that (Miller) abused at least 10 girls under the age of 12. Law enforcement identified at least 38 child sexual abuse videos produced by (Miller). To date, not all of the victims have been identified,” the press release said.

Miller had more than 720 images and 1,700 videos “containing child sexual abuse material,” the press release said.
