2 injured in traffic accident in Hunterdon County

Two people were injured in a serious accident in Hunterdon County on Wednesday morning.

According to police, an out-of-state woman collided with an unoccupied semi-trailer parked on the right shoulder of westbound I-78 in Lebanon Boro shortly after 9 a.m.

After the collision, the car spun and hit another vehicle. The force of the impact threw the semi-trailer forward and hit the driver.

According to authorities, Robert De La Cruz Alejo of Elizabeth was standing in front of it.

The cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
