Actor Nick Pasqual is said to have stabbed his ex-girlfriend several times and was arrested at the US-Mexico border

Hollywood actor Nick Pasqual has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend multiple times.

The Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday that Pasqual, 34, has been charged with attempted murder, first-degree residential burglary in the presence of a person and battery on a spouse, domestic partner, fiancé, boyfriend, girlfriend or parent of a child. If convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum sentence of life in prison, officials said.

Prosecutors have not released the victim’s name, but according to Entertainment Tonight, Pasqual is accused of stabbing makeup artist Allie Shehorn. A GoFundMe campaign has been launched to cover Shehorn’s medical expenses.

Pasqual allegedly broke into his ex-girlfriend’s Los Angeles home around 4:30 a.m. on May 23, prosecutors said in a news release, and then stabbed her “multiple times.” Shehorn, who recently filed for a restraining order against Pasqual, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries.

According to GoFundMe, the makeup artist was “fighting for her life” after her hospitalization. Shehorn was in intensive care for several days and underwent multiple surgeries, including a procedure to repair severed tendons in her right arm and surgery to close wounds in her neck, according to the fundraiser.

“No one deserves to go through such a traumatic experience, especially someone as compassionate and caring as Allie,” the GoFundMe page states.

Pasqual is believed to have fled the city after the stabbing. According to prosecutors, an arrest warrant was issued and he was arrested at a U.S.-Mexico border crossing in Texas.

According to officials, Pasqual will be extradited to Los Angeles to face charges. A date for the arraignment has not yet been set, prosecutors said.

Officials said Los Angeles police continue to investigate the case.

Shehorn has done makeup on projects such as Rebel Moon: Part 1, Mean Girls and Babylon, ET reports. Pasqual appeared in Rebel Moon: Part 1, as well as How I Met Your Mother and Archive 81, according to his IMDB page.

This heinous incident is a stark reminder of the dangers of domestic violence. We will ensure that the person responsible for this egregious act is held accountable for their actions.”
