‘Suspicious death’ of Pearl River man under investigation

PEARL RIVER, Louisiana (WGNO) – Officials with the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office are investigating a “suspicious death” that occurred in the Pearl River area.

According to STPSO officers, they responded to a 911 call to a home in the 67000 block of Slaughter Drive at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26. Douglas LaFrance, 74, was reportedly found dead on his porch.

According to the St. Tammany Parish Coroner’s Office, autopsy results confirmed that LaFrance’s death was a homicide.
