According to the CPSC, the assembly instructions for the tiller may result in the lower section being installed upside down, causing the tines to rotate toward the user and potentially causing cuts.

The agency said 44,400 tillers with the model number CMCTL320B are affected by the recall. The UPC number 885911843430 is printed on the packaging.

The model number can be found under the top handle.

They were sold from October 2022 to April 2024 at Lowe’s, Ace Hardware, Blain’s Farm & Fleet, Amazon, and some Army & Air Force Exchanges for $129 to $179.

Owners of the recalled tiller are urged to stop using it and contact Craftsman for new instructions. The instructions can also be downloaded directly from the company’s website.

For more information, contact Craftsman by phone at 855-237-6848 Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET, by email, or online.
