17-year-old arrested for car theft in Wall Township

A 17-year-old from Atlantic City faces multiple charges in connection with the theft of a Cadillac in Wall Township.

Police say the suspect may be one of two passengers who left the scene of an earlier crash on Sunday, entered a home on Belmar Boulevard and stole the vehicle.

According to police, after the theft, the stolen vehicle was seen on the highway and the 17-year-old driver was arrested.

According to the New Jersey State Police, he is accused of, among other things, escape, obstruction of justice and aggravated assault on a public officer.

Wall Township police also charged him with burglary, theft and unauthorized entry with endangerment of persons.
