Ghost gun and drugs seized, Springfield woman arrested

SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts (WWLP) – A Springfield woman was arrested Wednesday after police seized a ghost gun and drugs during a search.

According to Springfield Police spokesman Ryan Walsh, investigators from the Firearm Investigative Unit have arrested the 32-year-old Raycha Mojica-Robles of Springfield for illegal distribution of crack cocaine and illegal possession of a firearm. Officers obtained a search warrant for her residence in the 600 block of Union Street as well as her vehicle.


On Wednesday afternoon, Mojica-Robles was observed getting into her vehicle. She was then stopped by police at the intersection of Union Street and Eastern Avenue. Officers seized a high-caliber ghost gun from her vehicle.

Detectives then searched her apartment and found approximately 10.7 grams of powder and crack cocaine, 20 bags of heroin and nearly $2,800 in cash.

Mojica-Robles was arrested and charged with:

  • Carrying a firearm without a permit
  • Carrying a loaded large firearm without a permit
  • Possession of a Class A drug with intent to distribute
  • Possession of a Class B drug with intent to distribute (two counts)
  • Possession of a large capacity firearm during the commission of a crime (three counts)
  • Drug violation near a school/park
