Ashanti Alert | Davie County officials search for missing woman

DAVIE COUNTY, NC — The Davie County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing woman.

Deputies issued an Ashanti Alert for 60-year-old Cynthia Roberson Gobble.

Law enforcement authorities said there was evidence of physical endangerment, abduction or kidnapping.

Gobble is 1.68 m tall and weighs 82 kg. She has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes.

According to officials, she was last seen wearing a pink short-sleeved shirt with the word “Colorado” printed on it, blue denim shorts and brown Birkenstock sandals.

The Davie County Sheriff’s Office believes she is with suspect Gregory Gobble, 59.

He is 5’10” tall and weighs 180 lbs. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a moustache and beard, although his hair is turning grey.

Officers said he was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and tan/khaki pants.

Officials said he sometimes wears a baseball cap (possibly with “Colorado” written on the front) and sunglasses.

They were last seen in the 300 block of Country Lane in Mocksville.

Officials believe they are on their way to a home on High Rock Lake in Davidson County.

The car they are in is a white 1997 Ford F250 with the NC license plate YV1974.
