Person found dead in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood

An investigation is ongoing after a person was found dead overnight in Seattle’s Queen Anne neighborhood.

The Seattle Police Department (SPD) said the first 911 call came in around 11 p.m. Wednesday. Authorities said the caller reported finding a body near the southeast entrance to Kinnear Park, near the corner of 5th Ave. W and W Roy St.

FOX 13 crews are on scene to gather additional information from police.

The barrier tape was removed and by 7 a.m. there was only one police officer left on site.

There are no lanes closed near the accident site, so drivers’ morning commutes should not be affected.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates.
