Stony Point Police Chief retires after nearly four decades of police service

Stony Point Police Chief Ed Finn has retired after nearly four decades of police service.

His colleagues and the community extended their warmest congratulations during a special retirement ceremony in Rockland County on Wednesday.

Chief Finn’s career began in March 1986 when he was hired as a police officer in Stony Point.

Over the course of his 38-year career, Chief Finn has held every position in the department, including patrol officer and detective.
