1 dead and 1 seriously injured in rollover accident on Fleming Grant Road in Brevard

BREVARD COUNTY, Florida. – A man was killed and a woman was seriously injured early Thursday morning in Brevard County when their vehicle entered a ditch and rolled several times, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The fatal accident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. on Fleming Grant Road near Thompson Road.

According to an FHP accident report, a 52-year-old Micco man was driving a 2022 Cadillac XT6 south on Fleming Grant Road when the vehicle left the road and entered a ditch.

According to police, the vehicle overturned several times as a result of the impact.

The man was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the FHP accident report. His passenger, a 46-year-old woman from Micco, was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, troopers said.

The investigation is ongoing.
