Six people arrested during pro-Palestinian protests at UNC are expected in court on Thursday

The six people arrested during the pro-Palestinian protests at the UNC are expected to appear in court on Thursday.

The six people were arrested during clashes with police on April 30. Three of them were UNC students at the time. Some students were banned from campus following the protests.

The accused are due to appear before a judge on Thursday at the Orange County Courthouse in Hillsborough.

Organizers of UNC’s Students for Justice in Palestine said they would hold a rally outside the courthouse Thursday morning, calling on the district attorney to drop the charges.

The rally starts at 9am.
