Shots fired at home in Dover neighborhood – WGMD

Two adults and three children in a Dover neighborhood are physically OK after the home they were in was struck multiple times by gunfire. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours of May 28 at the residence on North Governor’s Boulevard. Police found numerous shell casings at the scene. The motive for the incident remains unclear and there is currently no description of the person(s). Anyone with information is asked to contact Delaware State Police or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-847-3333.

On May 28, 2024, at approximately 5:08 p.m., police officers responded to a report that a house had been hit by gunfire. Preliminary investigations revealed that the house had been shot at several times sometime in the early morning hours. Police officers found numerous shell casings at the scene.

Two adults and three children were in the home at the time of the shooting. No one was injured and the motive for the incident remains unclear. A description of the suspect is not currently available.

The Troop 3 Criminal Investigation Division continues to investigate this incident. Detectives are asking anyone who witnessed this incident or has information about this case to contact Detective C.
