ECSO investigates firearms incident in Century: NorthEscambia.com

The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate a shooting incident Wednesday evening in Century.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 200 block of Hilltop Road. A resident told officers he heard four to six gunshots outside his home and heard someone yelling “Where are you?” Officers found four 9mm shell casings in the driveway of a nearby residence and a cell phone was also found on a tree trunk in the back yard.

ECSO found that the front door of a nearby trailer was not fully closed and evacuated the building but found no one inside.

The officers could not find any bullet holes in the trailer. A search of nearby hospitals also did not reveal any victims.
