Omaha police investigate robbery at cannabis store south of downtown

OMAHA, Nebraska (WOWT) – Omaha police are searching for two people suspected of being responsible for a robbery Wednesday afternoon.

According to OPD, officers arrived at the Cannabis Factory near 13th and Pierce Street shortly after noon.

According to OPD, employees told police that a person came into the store with an axe, demanded some of the store’s products and jumped over the counter.

While they were taking the products, a second person stood at the door with a machete.

Eventually the two headed east on Pierce.

According to OPD, both robbers had their faces covered.

One was wearing a white checked shirt and blue jeans.

The other wore a black shirt and light brown shorts.

The investigation is ongoing and authorities are asking the public for help.
