Sunnyvale murder suspect arrested

(KRON) – A juvenile male was arrested in connection with a murder last week, the Sunnyvale Department of Public Safety announced. Just after midnight on Tuesday, April 30, officers responded to the 100 block of South Bernardo Avenue for a report of shots fired.

At the scene, officers found a man in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. The man was taken to hospital and later pronounced dead.

The following day, on Wednesday, May 1, Sunnyvale DPS investigators arrested a juvenile male in connection with the incident. He was arrested without incident, officials said. He is currently in custody at the Santa Clara County Juvenile Detention Center.

Officials have not released the victim’s name at this time and no further details have been released. According to law enforcement, the investigation is still ongoing.
