One dead after collision between car and Lynx bus

ORLANDO, Florida – A man is dead after a collision between a car and a Lynx bus near Valencia College, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to a preliminary report from investigators, both vehicles had a green light as they traveled on North Econlockhatchee Trail and approached the intersection with Valencia College Lane.

According to the report, the bus driver was trying to turn left when the car driving straight ahead collided with him and crashed into a concrete wall.

The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

According to FHP, the bus driver, a 59-year-old man from Orlando, and the five passengers on board were not injured.
